WAYS OF WEARING A TURBAN COMMONLY CALLED CHITAMBALA

I REMEMBER A STORY ONCE TOLD BY GRANDMA ABOUT HOW WOMEN USED TO PUT ACTUAL EATING PLATES ON THEIR HEAD JUST SO THAT THEY COULD PROPERLY WRAP A TURBAN LOCALLY CALLED A "CHIDUKU",IT WAS SO UP THEIR HEAD LIKE A MOUNTAIN SHAPE.

Nowadays am noticing the coming back of turbans among the young people in the fashion world,most commonly used material is the African pride the "CHITENGE", as it is usually referred to as
the material that stands for being truly rooted African. A chitenge turban can suit on any type of dress code depending only on how you style it

Most young people in our African society don’t know how to wear a turban especially my sisters the ones from the well to do communities "ba mwana mayadi" as most people my call them. But lets face the fact even from the low income compounds there girls who can wrap a turban because its a traditional thing and most girls will look at it as been old fashioned style, or maybe their parents never took the need to share and pass on the tradition of of wearing turbans.Tradition or not a turban adds beauty to a woman’s sparkleness and if women never knew this most men appreciate and respect a woman wearing a turban. I for one wouldn’t mind ma woman putting on a beautifully styled turban especially if she be meeting my mother or any elderly person because that’s African respect *self opinion*.

So sistas never feel shy wearing a turban and remember to style it to your own taste, be unique and smart. Rock that chitenge turban and sparkle as a proud lady rooted in the rich African pride
